1. I don't remember my username/password. Any suggestions?

Use the "Forgot your password" function.

2. How do I change the username/email address associated with my account?

Log in to your account and use either the "Change Email" or "Change Username" function under the "Clubhouse" menu.

3. Why should I add my photo?

It's a simple matter of numbers. Guys are 15 times more likely to look at profiles with photos. Women are 9 times more likely to check out your profile if you have a photo. In general, members with photos get eight times more attention than those without. Add your photo now!

4. How do I get my picture onto the site?

You can upload a picture directly from your computer. Simply click the "Browse..." button, browse for a picture file on your computer and click the "Open" button to close the dialog box, then click the "Submit" button.

5. What are the guidelines for posting a photo?

First off, photos will not appear on the site until they are approved by Golfmates. Please adhere to the following photo guidelines:

• First, make sure that your picture is under 500k.
• You must appear in each photo.
• Nude, obscene, sexual or otherwise offensive photos will not be posted.
• Copyrighted material will not be posted.
• File types must be .jpg or .gif

6. Are there any costs associated with the Golfmates.com service?

Only if you want to send messages to other Golfmates members. You can still browse profiles, maintain favorites, maintain a profile and receive messages from paid members for free. We provide payment processing on our website via PayPal or we do accept check/money orders. We can activate your account upon receiving a notification from you of a mailed payment should you choose that option.

7. I am a paid member. Is my subscription automatically renewed each period?

Yes it is. If at any time you want to cancel automatic renewal of your subscription, follow the cancellation instructions given in the next FAQ item.

8. How do I cancel my autorenewing subscription?

If (and only if) you have multiple subscriptions, click on where it says "Active" next to the one you want to cancel. If you only have one subscription, skip to the next step.
At the bottom of the page, there will be a button to "Cancel Subscription"
On the next page, hit "Cancel Subscription" again to complete the cancellation

CANCELLING YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WILL NOT CANCEL THE EXISTING PERIOD YOU'VE ALREADY PAID FOR. It merely cancels future automatic renewals. If you have any problems with billing, feel free to send us an email. And don't worry, we're honest people! :)

9. I can't pay by credit card, do you have any other payment options?

10. I subscribed to a 3-month package and have only used one month. If I resign now, will I be refunded for the remaining two months?

No, Golfmates.com does not pro-rate your subscription. If you resign after your first month, your subscription will remain active for the remainder of your initial term. During that time you'll be able to send email with other members.

12. How do I resign from Golfmates.com?

To resign your membership or subscription, please contact us and choose "Resignation" as the topic of the message.

13. Are you sure messages from Golfmates.com are being delivered to my inbox?

Yahoo

To ensure that your Golfmates email is delivered to your Yahoo Inbox (not the Bulk Mail folder), you can instruct Yahoo to filter it to your Inbox. Here's how:

• Open your yahoo mailbox
• Click mail options (on upper right)
• Click on "block addresses"
• In the "remove block" list, which is alphabetically sorted, look to see if the address "admin@golfmates.com" is in there.
• If it is there, select it, and then hit the "remove block" button below.
  

Hotmail

If you are using Hotmail, you can ensure that your Golfmates email is delivered to your Inbox by adding our "From" address to your Safe List. Here's how:

• Click the Options tab.
• Select Safe List. (It's under the heading Mail Handling.)
• In the space provided, enter the address admin@golfmates.com. Click Add.
• When you see the address you entered in the Safe List box, click OK.

AOL

If you're using AOL, you can ensure that your Golfmates email is delivered to your Inbox by setting your Mail Controls. Here's how:

• Go to Keyword Mail Controls.
• Select the screen name we're sending your Golfmates.com email to.
• Click Customize Mail Controls For This Screen Name.
• For AOL version 7.0: In the section for "exclusion and inclusion parameters", include the domain Golfmates.com
• For AOL version 8.0: Select Allow email from all AOL members, email addresses and domains.
  
• Click Next until the Save button shows up at the bottom.
• Click Save.
